Japanese Steel is first forged into shape, hollow ground, and then hardened to Rockwell 62 - making the edge on the blade very strong, yet durable. Each Blade is then polished and hand sharpened to perfection. Right out of the box, the Original and 15K Jende Reed Knives are the sharpest reed knives on the market. We even personalize your reed knife before sending it out by making a left-handed, right handed or straight burr.
