Many of the stock sheaths that come with a reed knife only offer minimal protection, at best. Jende Reed Knives are very sharp, and require the protection that only our sheaths offer. Safely protecting you and your Jende Reed Knife is very important. The first thing we did with our prototype sheath was slice right through it with a Jende Reed Knife! A few prototypes later, and we eventually settled on heavy-duty nylon to best protect both the knives and their users from harm.* The Jende Reed Knife Custom Made Sheath is made from the same material as heavy-duty luggage straps. This safety measure helps your edge stay intact even longer by protecting the knife from causing or receiving damage and protecting unsuspecting hands. It also conveniently fits into the storage pockets on most case bags and covers. Our sheaths are designed to safely store and protect the Original and the 15K Jende Reed Knives, but many other reed knives on the market also fit into our sheaths - although not perfectly. This sheath is an ideal replacement if you have lost or shredded your original protective covering.
